Malaysian gas costs December 2024 week 5 – RON97 up 3 sen to RM3.25/litre; diesel stays at RM2.95

Season’s greetings. It’s Wednesday, which implies it’s time once more for the same old weekly gas value replace in Malaysia, with the ministry of finance having introduced the retail value of fuels for the approaching week of December 26, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

Following a 3 sen enhance final week, RON 97 petrol sees one other value hike for the approaching week, with the premium gas going up by three sen once more to RM3.25 per litre for the approaching week (RM3.22 per litre final week). As normal, RON 95 continues at its ceiling value of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian authorities in February 2021.

Because it was final week, there may be once more no value revision for diesel, and so Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel proceed on at RM2.95 per litre. Euro 5 B7 diesel, which prices 20 sen extra per litre, subsequently stays at its current fee of RM3.15 per litre. In the meantime, the retail value of diesel gas in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

These gas costs will take impact from midnight tonight till Wednesday, January 1, when the following set of gas value updates can be introduced. That is the 52nd and closing version of the weekly gas pricing format for this 12 months, and the 311th in whole because the format was launched at the beginning of 2019.
